“When I first envisioned this piece, COVID-19 cases were dropping in Israel to the single-digits. For a moment I began to contemplate life, “post-Corona.” Will it be possible to recreate life as it was? Will the broken pieces fit back together? Will we always see/feel the seams? Will some pieces never come back? Maybe we are left to redefine the “whole,” reimagine what it means to be complete. As infection rates are rising again and I try to accept the fact that this isn’t over, I feel myself scrambling to pick up all the pieces I still can while simultaneously giving myself permission to let some things go.”
